Does any of the rent that you pay goes toward the down payment or purchase price?
Last modified December 4, 2021No, it doesn’t because the Investor isn’t earning very much money off what they charge the Tenant for rent. What you find is that the amount of Rent that they charge looks a lot like you were actually financing a home with 100% financing, with you paying the typical mortgage Insurance, Property Insurance and Property taxes as if you were financing the property with a typical Institutional Lender.
